Director, Cultural Destinations Sales
CHICAGO, IL
Sodexo Leisure is seeking an experienced Director, Cultural Destinations Sales for the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, IL. This cutting-edge property, part of the Leisure Market, hosts some of the most prestigious groups in Chicago. This position will be responsible for directing the sales of the venue, overseeing proposals for entertainment, decor, and all aspects of food & beverage. We are looking for a seasoned sales professional with experience of at least $3 - $5 million in sales annually. A comfort level with groups larger than 2500 is also required. The successful candidate will be able to create/cost out menus and speak to budgets.
Cultural Destination F&B experience is required.

Directs internal and external sales and marketing at a client account. Manages and directs Unit Sales Representatives to meet sales and revenue objectives. Develops and implements sales strategies. May actively book or manage select clients. Researches and analyzes market trends.

  • Creates a sales plan and develops sales leads for new and repeat business
  • Develops and coordinates a sales team to achieve sales plan
  • Creates a Marketing strategy to promote the Conference Center brand
  • Works with Client or operations on catering events

 

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
Basic Management Experience - 5 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years
