Managing Sales Vice President

Sodexo is seeking a Managing Sales Vice President to produce, manage and drive sales for Corporate Services Intergrated Facilities Management – North America.


This is a virtual leadership role. Candidates should be based in the Central or Eastern US within proximity to a major airport. Travel is required for success in this role up to 50%.

The Managing Sales VP will develop and implement innovative sales strategies to target, grow and sell integrated facility management solutions within the Corporate Services segment to Fortune 1000 clients. The VP will manage a high-performance sales team, develop and sell large integrated national/global outsourcing solutions.

We are looking for candidates who:
  • have established Fortune 1000 client relationships;
  • have experience leading a high-performance sales team;
  • can direct other leaders in a high-volume business;
  • can build and foster relationships across Sodexo internally to ensure additional market growth and the promotion of comprehensive solutions offerings to clients. This includes collaborating with senior leaders' business;
  • can develop exceptional integrated facility management solutions including food services, ensuring facility's product offerings/solutions align with client needs;
  • drive solutions that optimize the current business portfolio;
  • develop and execute a strategy to accelerate business growth throughout the US and globally;
  • are experienced at managing diverse and geographically remote teams;
  • have strong agility skills; the ability to deal with shifting priorities;
  • have unparalleled persuasion, sales influence and closing skills;
  • lead and motivate the sales management team, inspiring strategic direction; secure and deploy resources; cultivate relationships with clients and other teams within Sodexo; ensure the fulfillment of all contract commitments; sustain client satisfaction and retention; and maintain strong employee relations.

The ideal candidate:
  • has a minimum of 10 years consultative sales experience;
  • has expertise in closing complex corporate multi-million-dollar contracts;
  • can demonstrate proven success negotiating contracts on a national and global scale;
  • shows proven success developing AND leading high performing sales teams;
  • can thrive in fast-paced, agile, matrixed environment;
  • recommends sales strategies for improvement based on market research and analysis;
  • thinks and acts as a global business leader, aligning the sales team's values while inspiring commitment toward the business goals;
  • has experience representing the commercial segment/business during participation in Leadership Committees while being an active member;
  • is a strong strategic thinker around critical solutions and improving "hit and close" rate with the right clients;
  • holds a bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering (MBA preferred).

Position Summary
  • Develops and implements the business plan, budget and forecasts to achieve sales, market share, and market growth targets and retention strategies to attain overall financial goals for designated area.
  • Manages planning, reporting, quota setting and management, sales process optimization, sales training, CRM data quality, sales program implementation, Sodexo Global Sales Academy behaviours, recruiting and selection of salesforce talent.
  • Partners with senior sales leadership and Operations Leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvements; fosters relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the sales organization's efficient operation and success.
  • Facilitates successful implementation of new programs through the sales organization by ensuring a well-defined, efficient sales process is in place.
  • Researches growth strategies and competitor practices and strategies to evaluate and implement new strategies.
  • Responsible for developing strategic plan to drive sustained and continuous sales growth for the Segment area of responsibility. Directs salesforce effectiveness and manages functions essential to salesforce productivity and/or account portfolio management. Provides professional leadership to the sales organization in the selling of profitable new business and new revenue growth from the right clients under the right terms for Sodexo. Upholds Company mission and values and implements Quality of Life offerings in accordance with Segment solutions.


Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 10 years
Basic Functional Experience - 10 years
