Regional Sales Specialist
Sodexo is seeking an experienced sales professional to represent and generate catering and event sales for our conference center in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have prior experience selling events, conferences and meetings in this market.

Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for an energetic and aggressive Regional Sales Specialist to lead our business development efforts for a conference center. The Sales Specialist is responsible for leading the sales and marketing efforts for the conferencing program. This is done by developing budgets, executing plans to meet and exceed established goals, managing client relationships, developing and maintaining an aggressive marketing plan, and building deep relationships within the community along with leading and developing the sales & planning team.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • direct prior experience in space and catering sales for a large, complex hotel, conference center or similar venue
  • excellent organizational and communication skills
  • an entrepreneurial spirit and a high degree of accountability
  • strong interpersonal skills and forging deep relationships with current and potential clients are critical to success — expanding conference sales from within the local community and from nationwide resources
  • the ability to establish, execute, and exceed goals
  • positive leadership and developing a strong team will also be vital to success
  • experience soliciting and prospecting new business
  • experience cultivating existing relationships for repeat business

You possess the following:
  • full prior knowledge of catering and event set ups
  • experience with space configuration and planning is required
  • experience with the selling of events

  • Obtains, leads and develops prospect lists and identifies potential and current clients for division product initiatives in assigned geographic region.
  • Aligns customer business needs wtih the company's products and services.
  • Develops and presents sales proposals; closes sales for new/existing services.
  • Maintains current and accurate databases related to sales/marketing activities.


Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
