Sales Manager
HOUSTON, TX

Sodexo has an exciting Sales Manager position at the Houston Space Center in Houston, TX. This Sales Manager will focus on selling and detailing high end events and catering services for corporate events. Our events can range from coffee service to buffets to high end plated dinners and receptions. The ideal candidate will be organized and able to multi-task. The Catering Manager will ensure consistency in the quality of our offerings and will ensure high levels of customer service are provided to all of our clients.

The successful candidate will have:
  • full cycle sales experience - prospecting new external sales, site visits, contracts, up-selling f/b, and rentals;
  • fully understand food, catering and current event trends;
  • event detailing experience - knowledge of meeting room space configuration, space planning, menu selection, BEO & contract completion;
  • responding timely to inquiries, prospecting new business, repeat business;
  • strong verbal and written communication - communicates directly with our client, corporate sponsors, board members;
  • integrally involved in Marketing efforts, with focus on use of Social Media; and/or
  • prior experience networking with professional associations like CVB, NACE MPI, etc. is helpful.

Position Summary
Directs internal and external sales and marketing at a client account. Manages and directs Unit Sales Representatives to meet sales and revenue objectives. Develops and implements sales strategies. May actively book or manage select clients. Researches and analyzes market trends.

 

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in sales or marketing
