Unit Sales Representative
PLYMOUTH, MA
Sodexo Leisure is seeking an experienced Unit Sales Representative to join our team at Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth, MA. This position will be responsible for booking our group tour market, as well as corporate and small social business.

Primary responsibilities will include:
  • driving profitable top line catering sales by prospecting for new business and ensuring existing customer relations management;
  • working in tandem with general manager and museum marketing teams to create and implement new engagement strategies and annual marketing plan;
  • revenue forecasting, competitive analysis;
  • proposal development, menu and contract negotiation;
  • providing written proposals and contracts, arranging site tours and negotiates rating, dates and space;
  • account receivable collections and rebookings;
  • effective communications internally and externally; and/or
  • positive relationships with Museums management team.

Plimoth Plantation is a Living History Museum that tells the story of the Colonial Pilgrims and the Native Americans who were present in Massachusetts when the colonists arrived. The museum is open every day from mid-March until the Sunday after Thanksgiving and offers retail dining during that time period and catering operations year-round. Catering events range from historical-based meals using colonial and native recipes and techniques, to gala weddings. This unit executes 55+ weddings per year.

Position Summary
Responsible for all aspects of conference center and catering sales, including rooms and special events. Primary contact with all clients inquiring about conference and catering services. Makes recommendations to clients based on type and purpose of function, location, and time planned. Coordinates arrangements with the Catering and Culinary Departments. Develops budget for sales function. Follows up on service for unit/solicitors.

 

 

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year of experience in sales or marketing
